The leadership of the Osun Central Senatorial District of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lauded Mr. Ibraheem Adekunle for his generous donation of 3,000 bags of rice to party members in the district. The donation, aimed at alleviating the impact of the current economic hardship, will benefit PDP members across 10 local government areas in Osun Central.
The food items were handed over at the PDP State Secretariat in Osogbo, with Osun Central Senatorial Youth Leader Lukman Akintunde and PDP Chairman of Olorunda Local Government Amzat Ademola receiving the palliatives. Speaking at the presentation, South West Zonal PDP Youth Leader, Mr. Seyi Bamidele, praised Adekunle for his compassion, especially considering his recent membership in the party.
Adekunle explained that his motivation stemmed from the economic challenges following the removal of the petrol subsidy by the Federal Government. He urged other party members to support Governor Ademola Adeleke’s efforts in tackling poverty in the state.
“This gesture is in support of our governor, who is doing a lot for the people. Those who can should step forward and assist the administration in providing more palliatives,” Adekunle said.
Osun Central PDP Youth Leader, Akintunde, commended Adekunle for his initiative and confirmed that the rice would be distributed to all the wards in the district.
