Osimhen’s Bicycle Kick Goal Praised as ‘Work of Art’ by Galatasaray

Galatasaray has expressed admiration for Victor Osimhen’s stunning bicycle kick goal during their 3-0 victory over Antalyaspor on Saturday, calling the strike “a work of art” in a statement posted on their Instagram page on Sunday.

The Nigerian forward delivered the remarkable goal in the final moments of the Süper Lig Game week 9 clash at Corendon Airlines Park, Antalya, sealing the win for the visitors two minutes into added time.

The goal, which is bound to be remembered as one of the season’s highlights, marked Osimhen’s third league goal following his recovery from a hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old, on loan from Napoli, had previously opened his account with a brave performance during Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa.

His return to form helped the reigning Turkish champions get back on track, further buoyed by rivals Besiktas dropping points over the weekend.

After securing a landmark victory in the Intercontinental Derby against Fenerbahce two weeks ago, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk faced renewed pressure following back-to-back setbacks.

Without Osimhen, the team squandered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Latvian side Riga in the Europa League but bounced back with a 1-0 win over Alanyaspor, setting them up for a strong position heading into the international break.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan in September, has sparked the club’s hopes of making the move permanent.

However, growing interest from top European clubs, including Chelsea, may complicate their efforts to secure his signature beyond the current season.
