Renowned Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shed light on her decision to take an extended break from acting, addressing the concerns of her fans who noticed her absence from the screen.

In a recent social media update, the “Lockdown”star shared that the break was necessary for her to rest, reflect, and rejuvenate after a long and successful career that began at the age of 15.

Omotola, who has been a beloved figure in Nollywood for decades, explained that the time off was crucial for her to maintain her passion for acting.

Emphasizing the importance of self-care and balance, she said, “I know many never understand why I take time off movies for a few years, then come back and do it again! Lol… I see fans asking when I’ll be back on screens, but when you’ve been working since you were 15, like I have… You’ll do good to Relax, Relive, Relearn, and Recharge. Who understands & who’s following?”

The actress highlighted the need for periodic breaks to return with renewed energy, ensuring her future projects are approached with the same passion and dedication. Fans are now eagerly awaiting her return to the screen.
