As the deadline for linking National Identification Numbers (NIN) with Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) cards draws near, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has reaffirmed the efficiency of its systems.
The Commission assured the public that all NIN services, including enrolment, verification, authentication, and data modification, are running smoothly.
NIMC highlighted that over 10,000 enrolment centres across Nigeria and abroad are fully operational, ensuring citizens and legal residents can complete their NIN enrolment before the 14th September 2024 deadline.
The Commission urged those yet to enroll to visit these centres promptly to avoid last-minute congestion.
In addition to enrolment, NIMC also reminded the public of its Self-Service portal, where NIN holders can modify their personal data.
The portal is accessible via self-servicemodification.nimc.gov.ng, and the Commission encourages users to take advantage of this service.
NIMC emphasized its commitment to ethical practices, stating that NIN enrolment remains free of charge, with zero tolerance for extortion.
It also encouraged Nigerians to visit its official website for further information on NIN-related issues such as data modifications and verification procedures.
