The Federal Government announced plans to host Nigeria’s first-ever International Airshow in Lagos next year, marking a significant milestone for the nation’s aviation sector.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo, made the announcement during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Keyamo highlighted the event as a platform that will bring together global aviation experts, industry leaders, and innovators to explore new opportunities for growth and development in the sector.
“Our aspiration is clear: to position Nigeria as a central hub for aviation in Africa,” Keyamo said.
“This will attract investment, foster partnerships, and drive sustainable development across the continent,” he continuwd.
Calling the upcoming airshow a “groundbreaking event,” Keyamo described it as “the first of its kind in our nation,” signaling a transformative era for Nigeria and African aviation as a whole.
