The Nigeria Police Force has finalized arrangements for the graduation of 10,000 recruit constables from training institutions across the country.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, announced that the passing-out ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, January 23, 2025. It will take place simultaneously at four police colleges and 12 training schools, with the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, serving as the reviewing officer.
Adejobi highlighted that the recruits have undergone intensive physical and mental training designed to prepare them for Nigeria’s complex security landscape. He noted that the training focused on equipping the recruits to operate within the framework of the law.
“The IGP expresses confidence that these new officers will exhibit professionalism, integrity, and dedication to service, thereby upholding the honour and prestige of the Police Force,” Adejobi stated.
The new constables will be deployed to various state commands, where they are expected to strengthen local policing efforts, enhance community safety, and improve relations between the police and the public. Their deployment is anticipated to boost the operational capacity of police units and improve responses to crime nationwide.
