He also urged political parties to adhere strictly to electoral guidelines and party regulations, emphasizing that NSIEC Electoral Officers would be deployed across the 25 local councils to monitor the conduct of primaries.
According to Jibrin, preparations for the elections officially commenced on March 6, 2025, with the Chairmanship and Councillorship elections tentatively scheduled for November 1, 2025. He called on politicians, aspirants, and the electorate to conduct themselves in line with electoral rules to ensure a peaceful and orderly process at the grassroots level.
Following a thorough review of the timetable, stakeholders unanimously endorsed it, with a motion moved for its adoption and duly seconded.
