Youths from the Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Stakeholders (CNDYS), expressed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s transformative reforms aimed at fostering Nigeria’s economic growth and sustainable development.
In a statement released on Friday, CNDYS leader ‘General’ Bodmas Kemepadei commended President Tinubu for his dedication to addressing national challenges, with a particular focus on the Niger Delta.
The coalition affirmed its full backing for the President’s initiatives, which they believe will benefit both the region and the nation at large.
Kemepadei emphasized, “President Tinubu’s administration has undertaken significant steps to enhance transparency, boost investment, and empower local communities.
These reforms are crucial not only for the prosperity of the Niger Delta but for the entire nation as well.
The coalition believes that with these measures, Nigeria is on the path to achieving greater socio-economic stability and environmental sustainability.”
The CNDYS leader expressed optimism about the President’s proactive governance, particularly his focus on infrastructure development, job creation, and youth empowerment.
“We are encouraged by President Tinubu’s approach and his commitment to improving the lives of our people.
We believe these reforms will lay the foundation for a brighter future for the Niger Delta and beyond,” he added.
Kemepadei also addressed the President’s Tax Reform Bills, which aim to streamline multiple taxes into a single levy, reduce bureaucratic challenges, and improve tax compliance.
The coalition leader asserted that these reforms would help stimulate business activities, especially for struggling enterprises, by lowering the overall tax burden.
“The theory behind these reforms is that improved compliance and a broader tax base could significantly increase government revenue, enabling investments in vital public services,” Kemepadei explained.
“Revenue diversification is key to reducing Nigeria’s reliance on oil and insulating the economy from fluctuations in global oil prices,” he continued.
The CNDYS leader also praised the Tinubu administration’s efforts to support low-income earners and essential goods with tax exemptions, alleviating financial strain on vulnerable Nigerians.
Additionally, he highlighted the proposed ₦826 billion for education in 2025, aimed at improving literacy and workforce productivity, as well as the ₦402 billion allocated for healthcare, which is expected to improve health outcomes and human capital development.
Kemepadei further commended Tompolo’s Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) for its achievements in the Niger Delta, which contributed to a significant rise in crude oil revenue in 2024.
According to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, Nigeria produced 408,680,457 barrels of crude oil in 2024, a milestone attributed to the collaborative efforts of TSSNL, the NNPCL, the Ministry of Petroleum, and the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
“The Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Stakeholders stands ready to collaborate with the Federal Government in ensuring the successful implementation of these reforms.
We urge our fellow youths in the region to positively engage and contribute to the nation-building efforts championed by President Tinubu and regional leaders, including High Chief Government Oweizede Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, High Chief Kestin Pondi, and other notable figures,” Kemepadei concluded.
The coalition called on all stakeholders, local communities, civil society organizations, and the private sector to unite in support of these transformative initiatives, aiming to create a more prosperous and equitable Nigeria for all.
