The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) confirmed on Thursday that two people were killed and two others injured in the collapse of a two-storey building in Noman’s Land, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano.
Dr. Nuraddeen Abdullahi, NEMA Coordinator for the Kano Territorial Office, informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) about the incident.
He said, “We received a distress call at around 2:00 a.m. today from a good Samaritan reporting that a two-storey building had collapsed at Noman’s Land Quarters, Kano.
Upon receiving the information, we promptly dispatched our rescue team to the scene.”

“Unfortunately, the two children were confirmed dead, while the couple has been transported to the Armed Forces Specialist Hospital, Kano for treatment,” he added.
He also mentioned that search and rescue operations are ongoing to locate any other individuals who might be trapped in the building.
