New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is reportedly preparing to sell forward Joshua Zirkzee in the January transfer window as he reshapes his squad. Amorim, who took charge of the club recently, is said to favor Rasmus Hojlund for his preferred 3-4-3 formation and is looking to bring in a more direct striker with a keen eye for goals.
Zirkzee, who joined United six months ago in a £36.5 million deal, has struggled to make an impact, netting just once in 16 appearances. According to reports from Italian outlet Tuttosport, Juventus have shown strong interest in the Dutch striker, and United are open to offers.
Amorim is also reportedly targeting Viktor Gyökeres, a forward he previously worked with successfully at Sporting. Gyökeres, 27, has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 23 goals in 18 games, including a hat-trick in a recent 4-1 victory over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
