Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, officially signed the 2025 appropriation bill into law at the Glass Hall of the Government House in Lokoja.
This important move sets the stage for the implementation of the state’s budget, which is designed to promote job creation, infrastructure development, food security, and staff welfare.
The total budget for 2025 stands at ₦582.4 billion, marking a 43.34% increase from the revised 2024 budget of ₦406.3 billion.
The budget will focus on critical sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, and economic development.
Presenting the Appropriation Bill for the governor’s approval, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Aliyu Umar, urged Governor Ododo to ensure the “Budget of Inclusivity” benefits all constituencies in the state for balanced development.
By signing the budget into law, Governor Ododo has reaffirmed his dedication to securing Kogi State’s financial future and fostering widespread progress.
