The Kano State Government recruited 70 lawyers as part of its efforts to enhance service delivery in the judiciary while addressing unemployment challenges in the state.
Aliyu Yusuf, Director of Public Enlightenment in the Office of the Head of Civil Service, announced the initiative in a statement on Friday, emphasizing its dual focus on improving the legal sector and creating job opportunities.
“This initiative by the governor will undoubtedly enhance effective service delivery in the legal sector of the state while addressing unemployment challenges,” Yusuf noted.
The Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, who supervised the final interviews of the candidates, commended the governor’s visionary leadership.
He highlighted the recruitment as a pivotal step toward strengthening the judiciary, which he said had long awaited such an intervention.
Addressing the newly recruited lawyers, Musa urged them to uphold integrity, dedication, and accountability in their roles.
He reminded them of the competitive job market and stressed the importance of demonstrating exemplary professionalism as ambassadors of the state’s investment.
“The recruitment drive reflects Kano State Government’s ongoing efforts to empower its citizens and reinforce institutional capacity for sustainable development,” Musa stated.
