The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed all candidates seeking admission for the 2025 academic session to re-upload their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC SSCE) results.
According to the board, the directive affects candidates who had earlier submitted their results before the official release of the 2025 WAEC SSCE final results.
JAMB explained that all previously uploaded records have been cleared from its system in order to eliminate errors and ensure that only verified results are used for admission processes.
The clarification was contained in JAMB’s weekly bulletin released on Monday in Abuja by its Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
The board noted that some candidates who registered for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with “awaiting results” had earlier uploaded incomplete WAEC details, a situation that could create discrepancies during admission screening.
To prevent such challenges, JAMB said every UTME candidate must visit accredited centres and re-upload their complete 2025 WAEC SSCE results, regardless of whether they differ from what was initially submitted.
The board also warned that failure to comply with the directive may disqualify candidates from being considered for admission into tertiary institutions.
