Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has lauded Commissioner of Police Olatunji Disu for his effective leadership in maintaining security across the state.
Fubara praised Disu as a highly professional officer, attributing the state’s stability and safety to his strategic efforts.
During a meeting with Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun, National President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Fubara reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering impactful projects for the people of Rivers.
He also encouraged police officers’ spouses to continue supporting their partners in upholding professionalism and integrity in their duties.
Acknowledging challenges from detractors, Fubara emphasized that his focus remains on meaningful governance, stating, “The results of our efforts will speak louder than any distractions.” He further recognized POWA’s contributions, particularly its support for police officers’ families, including widows.
The governor highlighted the newly commissioned POWA Shopping Complex as one of the association’s significant initiatives, praising their continuous societal contributions.
Governor Fubara expressed deep gratitude for Commissioner Disu’s role in maintaining security, noting that his professionalism has been instrumental in keeping the state peaceful.
