Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has distributed motorcycles to residents of Gassol Local Government Area as part of his administration’s efforts to empower communities at the grassroots and deliver the dividends of democracy.
The distribution exercise took place on Monday at Mutum Biyu, the headquarters of Gassol Local Government Area.

Speaking on behalf of the Governor, the Commissioner for Science and Technology, Hon Muslim Aruwa, said Dr Kefas remained committed to improving the lives of rural dwellers.
“The Governor is concerned about the people at the grassroots and wants them to benefit from the dividends of democracy,” Aruwa stated.
He further stressed the need to separate politics from religion, commending Governor Kefas for running a unity government that embraces all citizens, regardless of religious or sectional differences. Aruwa also highlighted achievements recorded under the Kefas administration in education, healthcare, and other sectors of the economy.
He called on the people of Gassol to continue supporting the Governor and to canvass support for his re-election.

In his remarks, the Sarkin Jukun Mutum Biyu, Moses Awoko Danasabe, expressed gratitude to the Governor for the provision of the motorcycles and urged the people to rally behind him.
Similarly, the Senator representing Taraba Central at the National Assembly, Sen Haruna Manu, through his representative, former Gassol Chairman Tukura Bashir, also thanked the Governor for the initiative.
Bashir advised beneficiaries not to sell the motorcycles but to use them for their intended purposes, while also encouraging support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Governor.
The Chairman of Gassol Local Government Area, speaking through the Leader of the Gassol Legislative Council, Hon Dalhatu Usman, also conveyed appreciation to Dr Kefas for extending his goodwill to the community.
The event featured several goodwill messages, all praising the Governor’s developmental strides across the state.
Some of the beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude to Dr Kefas, pledging their unwavering support for his administration.
