The Democratic Republic of Congo received its first shipment of nearly 100,000 doses of mpox vaccines on Thursday, amid an ongoing outbreak of the disease.
Laurent Muschel, head of the EU’s Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA), confirmed the delivery, saying, “The vaccines have arrived in the DRC.
They are now being transported to storage facilities, and the vaccination campaign is expected to start at the end of the month.”
