A former Lagos State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has officially resigned from the party.
Jandor announced his departure on Monday during a press briefing at Liberty Place, Ikeja, Lagos, citing widespread indiscipline and anti-party activities as key reasons for his exit.
Addressing journalists, he accused some PDP leaders, including former Deputy National Chairman Chief Olabode George, of undermining the party during the 2023 general elections.
“We will consult widely with everybody and then take the decision to collapse our structure to another platform. What is majority on the ground now is that we have left the Peoples Democratic Party,” he stated.
Jandor’s resignation was accompanied by a large group of supporters, signaling a possible shift in Lagos’ political landscape.
