Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola highlighted the speed of Arsenal’s attack, singling out Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, following their 2-2 Premier League draw.
Speaking during the post-match press conference, Guardiola reflected on his team’s performance, emphasizing their strong start against Mikel Arteta’s side.
He described the draw as a valuable result for City, pushing them to the top of the Premier League table, while Arsenal remained in fourth place after five matches.
“We started well, scoring a fantastic goal, but then conceded. We know Arsenal has great speed with Martinelli and Saka,” Guardiola said. “We were careful to avoid risky challenges and unnecessary fouls, especially with their long balls and crosses. It’s a good point for us, and while we could have scored earlier, we’re content with the result.”
