The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has announced a reduction in its diesel price, dropping it from ₦1,075 per litre to ₦1,020 per litre.
In a statement, the $20 billion company explained that the price cut was part of its commitment to better serve its customers and Nigerians at large.
“Since it began diesel production in January 2024, the refinery has reduced the price of diesel more than three times, from an initial ₦1,700 per litre to the current rate, thus providing much-needed relief to manufacturers and consumers alike,” the statement read.
The refinery, which has been pivotal in stabilizing fuel supply, also recently reduced the ex-depot price of petrol from ₦950 per litre to ₦890, citing market realities as the basis for the adjustment.
This move is expected to further ease the cost burden on manufacturers, transporters, and consumers, reinforcing Dangote Refinery’s position as a key player in Nigeria’s energy sector.
