Chelsea’s Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2033.
The extension formalizes an agreement in principle announced earlier this season by Blues manager Enzo Maresca.
The Premier League club confirmed the new deal on Friday, stating, “Chelsea is delighted to announce that Nicolas Jackson has signed a two-year contract extension until 2033.
Nico joined the Blues in late June 2023 and had an impressive first season at Stamford Bridge, scoring 17 goals across all competitions, including a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.”
Jackson has made a positive start to the current season with two goals in four appearances, aiming to build on his debut campaign.
Reflecting on the new contract, Jackson said, “I’m feeling very good and I’m very happy to sign a new contract and stay at the club.
It feels great that the club has confidence in me.
I’m working very hard and I’m very happy to extend my contract and stay here for many years.”
Jackson began his professional career with Senegalese side Casa Sport before joining Villarreal in Spain in 2020.
His breakthrough season came in 2022-23, when he scored 13 goals in 38 appearances and earned a place in Senegal’s squad for the 2022 World Cup.
