The Super Eagles have finally arrived in Nigeria following a grueling experience in Libya, where they were stranded for approximately 13 hours at an airport before a crucial qualifier for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The players and officials were left waiting ahead of their scheduled match on Tuesday, with images of them sleeping on benches circulating widely and drawing condemnation from Nigerian authorities.
Fortunately, the team has now safely landed in Kano after their flight was cleared for takeoff.
More updates to follow.
