The newly appointed Sole Administrator for Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.) officially arrived in the state to begin his duties.
Ibas touched down at the Port Harcourt International Airport at approximately 11:25 am on Thursday, where he was warmly received by senior government officials and security personnel.
Accompanied by the State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, and the Assistant Inspector General of Police for Zone 16, Ibas proceeded directly to the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Upon arrival at the Government House, Ibas was given a tour by various government officials.
He is currently engaged in a closed-door meeting with senior security officers, a Federal Government delegation, and state government representatives.
Ibas was sworn in as the Sole Administrator for Rivers State on Wednesday by President Bola Tinubu.
