Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, signed the N427 billion 2025 appropriation bill into law, marking a significant step toward the state’s continued growth and development.
The signing ceremony took place at the Exco Lounge in the Governor’s Office, with Adeleke joined by his cabinet members and representatives from the legislative arm.
The appropriation bill, which had initially been presented to the House by Adeleke at N390 billion, was passed after the House added N37 billion to the proposal.
The 2025 budget, titled the ‘Budget of Growth and Sustainable Development’, is set at ₦427,746,925,170.
In his address, Adeleke expressed gratitude to both the legislature and his cabinet for their collaboration.
He said, “We are here to further demonstrate our readiness to forge ahead in the New Year with the growth and development of our dear State.
The total sum for the 2025 budget is ₦427,746,925,170.00.
I direct Ministries, Agencies, and Departments to vigorously pursue its implementation for the benefit of our citizens.”
The governor further emphasized the importance of tracking the budget’s performance, saying, “Our budget performance must continue to be commendable on a quarterly basis.”
Adeleke also tasked the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development with overseeing the budget’s execution to ensure that all targets and expectations are met.
He assured the people of Osun that the budget will be implemented rigorously, with a focus on delivering tangible results.
