Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface found the back of the net as Bayer Leverkusen clinched the German Cup on Saturday.
Boniface set the tone early, scoring from close range in the 11th minute.
However, Stuttgart responded with goals from Enzo Millot and Deniz Undav to take the lead.
Just as Leverkusen seemed poised for defeat, Patrik Schick leveled the score with an 88th-minute equalizer.
Xabi Alonso’s side ultimately secured the trophy after a tense penalty shootout, marking Alonso’s third title with the Bundesliga club.
