This statement comes in response to Real Madrid’s decision to boycott the event, stemming from their belief that Vinicius would not secure the accolade.
“All the clubs and players are in the same boat,” a representative from the Ballon d’Or committee told AFP, emphasizing the stringent confidentiality measures implemented for the 2024 edition of the award.
