Atalanta director Tony D’Amico has dismissed speculations about the potential departure of Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman during the January transfer window, despite interest from Premier League giants Liverpool.
Lookman has been in sensational form this season, registering 11 goals and six assists in 20 appearances across all competitions for Gian Piero Gasperini’s team, who currently lead Serie A.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, D’Amico emphasized the club’s commitment to keeping its squad intact. “Certainly, the January transfer window is a difficult one for all clubs. If there are any opportunities, we will go for them, but obviously maintaining the full squad that we currently have at our disposal,” he said.
Atalanta is determined to retain its key players as the team continues its push for success this season.
