The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) at Niger Delta University (NDU), owned by the Bayelsa State Government, has embarked on an indefinite strike.
The decision, announced on Tuesday, follows a meeting held at the union’s secretariat in Amassoma.
ASUU members cited the state government’s alleged failure to fulfill agreements previously reached with the union as the primary reason for the industrial action.
This development is expected to significantly impact academic activities at NDU, with further details regarding the union’s grievances and the strike’s implications anticipated in the coming days.
