Nigerian star Asisat Oshoala found the net, but her efforts couldn’t prevent Bay FC from a crushing 5-1 defeat to Gotham FC in an NWSL match on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Oshoala, who continues to shine in the NWSL for Bay FC, scored the lone goal for her team in a tough encounter at Red Bull Arena. Gotham FC took the lead early, with Jenna Nighswonger converting a penalty in the ninth minute, placing the ball perfectly off the right post and across the goal line.
