Ariana Grande has unveiled her eighth studio album, Petal, which is scheduled for release on July 31 via Republic Records.
The pop star co-wrote and executive produced the project alongside Swedish-Persian producer Ilya Salmanzadeh, a long-time collaborator who previously worked with Max Martin and co-produced Grande’s 2024 album, Eternal Sunshine.
Grande described the upcoming album as a deeply personal body of work shaped by resilience and transformation.
“Something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging,” she said.
The announcement follows months of teasing, with the singer sharing studio images hinting at new material. It also comes after a busy period that included her involvement in the Wicked film project and its sequel, as well as the release of Eternal Sunshine and its 2025 deluxe edition.
Grande is set to embark on a summer tour beginning in June.
Initially tied to Eternal Sunshine, the tour is now expected to feature tracks from Petal.
The singer has suggested the tour could mark a turning point in her career. “The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,” she said, adding that she views the run of shows as a final major tour before taking an extended break from the road.
