The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Nigerian Armed Forces to securing the nation and eradicating criminal elements responsible for security breaches.

Speaking to journalists during a visit to the military cantonment in Samaru, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, General Musa highlighted the deployment of advanced equipment and resources to address insecurity in Southern Kaduna and its environs.

The CDS commended troops for their professionalism and sacrifices, assuring them that their welfare remains a top priority.

He urged them to maintain their dedication, respect human rights, and uphold professionalism in their operations.

“We must collaborate with other security agencies and civilians to achieve our goal of a secure and peaceful Nigeria,” General Musa emphasized.

During the visit, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, Commander of Operation Safe Haven and General Officer Commanding 3 Division, encouraged troops to remain steadfast and diligent in securing their areas of operation.

Senator Sunday Marshal, representing Kaduna South, praised the military for its efforts in maintaining security and pledged to strengthen collaboration between the civilian population and the Armed Forces.

As part of his engagements, General Musa and his entourage, which included senior officers from Defence Headquarters, paid a courtesy visit to the palace of the Chief of Kagoro.

The paramount ruler received assurances of the military’s dedication to promoting unity and security in the region.

The visit underscores the Armed Force’s determination to safeguard the nation’s peace and stability.
