Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has approved the appointment of Aminu Hammayo as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Hashimu Kumbala as the Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor.

This announcement was made in a statement by Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity. According to Gidado, the appointments underscore Governor Mohammed’s dedication to effective governance and his vision for a more inclusive and progressive administration. The statement highlighted the impressive track records of both appointees.

Aminu Hammayo, a seasoned public servant and administrator, brings extensive experience to his role as SSG. He previously served in the same capacity and, until his latest appointment, was the Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Multilateral Coordination in Bauchi State.

Similarly, Hashimu Kumbala, a retired Permanent Secretary and accomplished administrator, has been appointed PPS to the Governor. Before this appointment, he served as the Special Adviser to the Governor on General Services. In his new role, Kumbala is expected to provide vital administrative and advisory support to enhance communication and coordination within the government.

The statement further disclosed that both officials will be sworn in on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Executive Council Chamber, Government House, Bauchi.
