The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, urged Nigerians to remain patient with President Bola Tinubu’s administration, acknowledging the challenges brought on by the economic reforms it has implemented.
These reforms, which include the removal of the petrol subsidy and the unification of the exchange rate, have led to rising inflation and economic hardship for many Nigerians.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje expressed understanding of the difficulties caused by these policies but reassured the public that the positive results of the reforms are beginning to show.
“As we approach next year’s Christmas, we are confident that the economy will have stabilized further,” Ganduje said.
“The government’s efforts in securing the country are also yielding results, with a significant reduction in cases of banditry and kidnapping,” Gaduje continued.
The APC Chairman emphasized that the leadership is committed to policies that will promote sustainable growth, security, and improve the welfare of citizens.
He called on Nigerians to take advantage of the festive season to pray for peace, stability, and prosperity in the country, as well as for the success of leaders at all levels of government.
Ganduje also encouraged Nigerians to embrace the spirit of togetherness and mutual respect, essential for national cohesion.
He highlighted the importance of selflessness, generosity, and caring for the less privileged, particularly during this season of giving.
