Afrobeats sensation Davido has added another accolade to his name as the music video for his song Na Money clinched the Best Costume/Styling (Craft) award at the 12th edition of the Berlin Fashion Film Festival.

Directed by Dammy Twitch and produced by Blessing Uzzi, Na Money is the third track on Davido’s critically acclaimed album, Timeless. The song features Grammy-winning Beninese-French singer Angélique Kidjo and Nigerian highlife duo The Cavemen, blending rich African sounds with stunning visuals.

The music video was praised for its vibrant costumes, intricate cultural elements, and striking visuals, earning it recognition on the global stage. The achievement underscores the growing appreciation for African creative talent in the international film and music industries.

Reacting to the win, Davido described the award as a testament to the creativity and hard work of everyone involved in the project, adding, “African stories and art continue to resonate globally, and I’m proud to be part of this movement.”

The Berlin Fashion Film Festival, established in 1951 as part of the prestigious Berlinale, is a globally recognized platform that celebrates innovative storytelling in fashion and film. It attracts top industry players, filmmakers, and enthusiasts from around the world.

Angélique Kidjo, known for her diverse musical influences and groundbreaking music videos, is no stranger to global acclaim. With five Grammy Awards and the 2023 Polar Music Prize to her name, the 64-year-old artist remains one of Africa’s most celebrated singers.

Similarly, The Cavemen have become a leading voice in reviving Nigerian highlife music, consistently gaining recognition since their emergence on the music scene.

With numerous awards and an ever-expanding fan base, Davido continues to solidify his position as one of Africa’s most influential music icons.
