The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd. (NNPC Ltd.) has issued a stern warning to jobseekers to ignore rumors about purchasing employment slots.

Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer at NNPC Ltd., clarified in a statement on Saturday that there is no truth to claims suggesting that the company is selling job slots. He denounced these claims as “antics of fraudsters” seeking to exploit unsuspecting individuals.

Soneye emphasized that NNPC Ltd.’s recruitment process is transparent and straightforward, with no involvement of slot sales or inducements. He advised that any individual paying money for a job within the company does so at their own risk.
