Juventus has confirmed the termination of Paul Pogba’s contract, bringing his second stint with the Serie A club to an official close.
In a statement released on Friday, the club announced: “Juventus Football Club and Paul Pogba announce that they have mutually agreed to the termination of the sports performance contract, effective from 30 November 2024. The company wishes Paul all the best for his professional future.”
The decision comes as Pogba prepares for a return to football following the reduction of his four-year ban for failing a drug test. The suspension, now shortened to 18 months, will allow the French midfielder to resume playing by March 2025.
Despite this development, Juventus deemed Pogba surplus to requirements under the plans of manager Thiago Motta, paving the way for both parties to part ways.
Pogba’s time at Juventus has been marked by challenges, but the club extended its goodwill for his future endeavors as he looks to restart his career.
