Niger North Senator and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Distinguished Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, has completed a large-scale medical outreach across the Niger North Senatorial District, providing free healthcare services to more than 5,000 residents. The program, executed through the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), highlights Senator Sani Bello’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that essential medical care reaches all communities in his constituency, even those in the most remote areas.

The outreach provided comprehensive health screenings and treatments, including eye screenings, blood pressure monitoring, and malaria testing among others. The program was strategically rolled out in phases across multiple local governments: Mariga on November 4, Rijau, along with Borgu and Agwara, on November 5, and Kontagora on November 6 and 7. The final phase of the outreach is scheduled to take place in Wushishi at a later date.
Healthcare access, particularly at the primary level, is a cornerstone of Senator Sani Bello’s public service, and he has continually emphasized the importance of early detection and preventive care to improve long-term health outcomes across Niger North.
