In a thrilling NBA season opener, the Milwaukee Bucks fell 133-122 to the Chicago Bulls at Fiserv Forum. Despite a high-scoring night from Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks struggled to keep pace with the Bulls’ aggressive play.

Antetokounmpo, often dubbed the “Nigerian Freak,” was unstoppable, delivering 38 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists in 35 minutes of play. In a memorable highlight, he threw down a powerful slam over Bulls center Nikola Vucevic, igniting the home crowd. However, his 8-for-16 free throw shooting left room for improvement.

The Bucks’ dynamic duo of Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard contributed a combined 55 points in their previous win against Philadelphia and scored 66 together against Chicago, dismantling the Bulls’ defense. Lillard put up 21 shots, while Antetokounmpo attempted 23, but the team’s overall effort fell short.

The remaining Bucks rotation added 45 points on 43 field goal attempts, underscoring the heavy reliance on their star players. Despite the victory, the Bulls’ defense showed no consistent solution for Antetokounmpo’s relentless attacks.

This victory marked Chicago’s first of the season, and the Bucks are now set to face the Brooklyn Nets in New York as they aim to bounce back.
