Controversial crossdresser Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, better known as Bobrisky, has been detained by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) after attempting to exit the country through the Seme border. His arrest, which occurred on Sunday, led to his transfer to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Alagbon, Lagos, for further investigation and safekeeping.

Sources confirmed that Bobrisky was brought to the FCID facility around 10 p.m. on Monday, where he remains in custody. Officials of the NIS had flagged him as a person of interest due to ongoing public concerns and had detained him overnight before handing him over to the FCID for more thorough interrogation.

The FCID spokesperson confirmed that they are seeking to obtain a remand order to continue holding him for additional questioning. It is yet to be disclosed what specific issues led to Bobrisky’s arrest, but the NIS has reiterated its commitment to enforcing border security and ensuring proper legal procedures are followed.

While Bobrisky remains under investigation, the NIS emphasized that he is being treated civilly as the inquiry progresses. His case has drawn significant public attention, and authorities are expected to release more information as the investigation unfolds.
