Paul Pogba, the French international midfielder, has reaffirmed his commitment to Juventus, dismissing reports that the club is planning to terminate his contract. This comes after the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) reduced his initial four-year ban for elevated testosterone levels in his bloodstream to 18 months, allowing him to return to the field as early as March next year.
Despite reports from Pulse Sports suggesting that Juventus intends to cut ties with the 31-year-old, Pogba remains determined to stay and re-establish himself at the club. In a recent interview, he expressed his willingness to take a pay cut in order to continue playing for Juventus.
“I’m willing to take a salary cut to stay at Juventus,” Pogba told Gazetta in an interview reported by Fabrizio Romano. “I’m just thinking about training and playing for Juventus.”
Pogba also ruled out any possibility of a move to AC Milan, stating, “Will I join AC Milan? Impossible. Even if Ibrahimović calls me, he knows I won’t betray Juve. I do not see myself with any other jersey. My focus is on getting back into the Juve shirt.”
Pogba vowed to impress Juventus manager Thiago Motta, adding, “It’s not me that needs to speak, the pitch will do the talking and Thiago Motta will judge with his eyes.”
