The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has committed to forming a strategic partnership with the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), underscoring the importance of reputation management in attracting investments.
This announcement was made by NDDC’s Executive Director of Corporate Services, Ifedayo Abegunde, during a courtesy visit by the NIPR Rivers State Chairman, Mr. Francis Asuk, to the NDDC Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, at the Commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt. Abegunde, representing Ogbuku, emphasized the role of NIPR in maintaining a positive national image, stating that “a well-managed reputation attracts international investments, while a negative image deters potential investors.”
Mr. Asuk outlined the NIPR’s upcoming 2024 Week, themed “Rebuilding National Reputation through Business Integrity and Public Trust,” and urged NDDC’s participation and sponsorship. Both parties expressed optimism about the collaboration, believing it would strengthen national trust and the relationship between the Niger Delta and the Federal Government.
