Kasi Healthcare, a Nigerian healthcare provider utilizing aviation services, has partnered with Memorial Hospital Turkey to enhance healthcare access in Nigeria.
This collaboration aims to tap into the $8.5 trillion global healthcare market, focusing on heart care, organ transplants, and other specialized medical services.
The partnership will combine advanced technology and surgical techniques, offering second opinions and specialized screenings in Nigeria.
By leveraging Turkey’s high-profile healthcare facilities, the collaboration seeks to reduce the need for Nigerians to seek medical treatments abroad, potentially saving billions spent on outbound medical tourism.
Kasi Healthcare’s Aeromedical Unit, based in Lagos, will provide air ambulance services and medical support, with Memorial Hospital specialists offering monthly consultations and training.
Memorial Hospital, with its network of 11 hospitals in Turkey, will also facilitate knowledge sharing and expertise, improving healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
Bashir Zainab Kiata, Memorial Hospital’s country executive, emphasized that this partnership will reduce misdiagnoses, provide free consultations, and bring affordable healthcare options to Nigerians. However, she noted that the collaboration will not cover sickle cell patients due to Nigeria’s lack of post-bone marrow transplant facilities.
