A tragic road accident at Oju-Ore along Idiroko Road in the Ota area of Ogun State has resulted in the death of a driver, Bello Lukman, and left three pedestrians injured.

The incident occurred around 8:45 pm on Monday while Lukman was attempting to park his vehicle.

According to Ogun State Police Command spokesperson Omolola Odutola, Lukman was driving a Honda shuttle car with the number plate TTD 537 AE.

As he tried to reposition the parked vehicle, he lost control of the steering and struck three pedestrians, 26-year-old Ojo Isaac, Ladan Musa Moses, and Tunde Adio.

The injured pedestrians were immediately taken to the State Hospital in Ota for urgent medical treatment.

Sadly, Ojo Isaac later died while receiving care, as confirmed by the attending doctor.

His body was subsequently transferred to the mortuary at General Hospital, Ifo, for an autopsy.

Odutola reported, “The accident scene has been inspected, a rough sketch map created, photographs taken, and the vehicle recovered for VIO inspection.

Police investigations are still ongoing.”
