The Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, has approved a ₦175 million relief package to support flood victims in Borno State.
According to a statement released on Tuesday, the funds will be allocated as follows: ₦100 million to the Borno State Government for ongoing relief efforts, ₦50 million to assist the Taraba State community residing in Borno, and ₦25 million to the Borno Emirate Council as a gesture of solidarity.
In addition to the financial aid, relief materials such as bags of rice, vegetable oil, and blankets have been dispatched to Borno State to help mitigate the effects of the flooding. This support reflects Taraba’s commitment to aiding its neighbors during this time of crisis.
