Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel is gaining the upper hand in its ongoing conflict with Iran, asserting that Tehran’s military capabilities are being significantly weakened.
Speaking during a press conference in Jerusalem, Netanyahu said the joint military campaign involving Israel and the United States is progressing rapidly and achieving its objectives.
“We are winning and Iran is being decimated,” he said, emphasising what he described as major battlefield successes.
The Israeli leader further highlighted the extent of damage inflicted on Iran’s military infrastructure, particularly its missile and drone systems, which he said are being “massively degraded” as operations continue.
Netanyahu also underscored Israel’s strength relative to its adversary, stating: “Israel has never been stronger and Iran has never been weaker.”
He dismissed claims that Israel had drawn the United States into the conflict, stressing that Washington’s involvement is based on its own strategic decisions.
“Does anyone really think that someone can tell President Trump what to do? Come on!” he said, defending the independence of U.S. policy.
The Prime Minister pointed to close coordination between both nations, noting collaboration across military and intelligence operations as a key factor behind the campaign’s progress.
“We’re achieving our goals in lightning speed,” he added.
The remarks come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East following a wave of strikes and counterstrikes between Israel and Iran, with both sides targeting strategic military and energy infrastructure.
Despite Netanyahu’s optimism, the conflict continues to raise global concerns over regional stability, energy security, and the risk of further escalation.
