Head coach Rena Wakama has unveiled the final 12-player squad for Nigeria’s D’Tigress ahead of the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in France.
The final list was selected from an initial 17-player provisional squad and features a blend of experienced players and returning stars.
Among the key names in the squad are guards Ezinne Kalu and Promise Amukamara, as well as forwards Amy Okonkwo and Elizabeth Balogun. Also returning to the team are Nicole Enabosi, Blessing Ejiofor and Ifunanya Okoro.
The squad is completed by Pallas Kunayi-Akpannah, Victoria Macaulay, Sarah Ogoke, Murjanatu Musa and Rita Igbokwe.
The African champions are set to compete in a challenging qualifying group in Villeurbanne, France, where they will face Colombia, host nation France, Germany, South Korea and the Philippines.
Nigeria will begin their campaign in the tournament against Colombia on March 11 as they aim to secure qualification for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
