The National Assembly has unsealed the office of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central, Channels Television reports.
PUNCH Online gathered that the office, located in Suite 2.05 of the Senate Wing, was reopened on Tuesday morning by the Sergeant-at-Arms of the National Assembly, assisted by combined security personnel.
Akpoti-Uduaghan had been suspended by the Senate in March for six months over alleged misconduct. Her suspension stemmed from a protest against the reassignment of her seat by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on February 20.
Although the suspension officially lapsed in September 2025, the lawmaker had been unable to resume her duties due to lingering legal disputes and opposition from Senate leadership.
Just last week, Akpoti-Uduaghan wrote to the Senate, notifying the chamber of her intention to return to her legislative duties. However, her request was initially rejected.
The latest development marks a significant step toward her reinstatement.
