The Rivers State House of Assembly will convene its first plenary session at 10 a.m. on Thursday, following the lifting of emergency rule, according to state sources.
The emergency rule, declared recently, was revoked by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, restoring democratic governance in Rivers State. The plenary session marks the return of legislative activity.
The session will be presided over by Speaker Martin Amaewhule. It will be held at the Conference Hall of the Legislative Quarters, Aba Road, where lawmakers are temporarily convening.
