Nigeria international Victor Boniface has been subjected to an extensive round of medical tests by AC Milan as the Serie A giants prepare to finalize his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen.
Milan have reportedly agreed to sign the 24-year-old striker on an initial loan deal worth €5 million, with an option to make the move permanent for €25 million.
Boniface, who arrived in Italy on Friday, was taken to the club’s facilities, the Italian Olympic Committee, and Galeazzi Hospital in Milan for a series of examinations.
According to Football Italia, further tests are scheduled for Saturday.
The forward’s medical checks are said to be unusually thorough due to his injury history.
Boniface previously underwent surgery for a ligament injury in March 2019 and again in December 2020.
He also struggled with muscular problems on two occasions during last season.
