The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in collaboration with the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), has repatriated 51 foreign nationals convicted and sentenced for cyber-terrorism and internet fraud.
The latest batch comprises 50 Chinese nationals and one Tunisian, EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale said in a statement on Thursday.
Their removal brings the total number of foreign convicts repatriated to 102 since the exercise began on Friday, August 15, 2025.
According to Oyewale, the convicts were among 192 foreign nationals arrested during a sting operation in Lagos, following intelligence that exposed the activities of what investigators described as one of the largest foreign-led cybercrime syndicates operating in Nigeria.
“Further deportations are scheduled in the coming days,” Oyewale added.
