The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has resumed its nationwide recruitment exercise following the successful resolution of technical issues that led to a temporary suspension of the process.
In a statement released on Monday, the board announced that its online recruitment portal is now fully functional and accessible to applicants across the country.
The platform had been shut down for several days due to technical glitches caused by an overwhelming volume of applications.
The CDCFIB explained that the brief closure was essential to expand the system’s capacity and improve its efficiency.
The upgrade aims to ensure a seamless, transparent, and equitable recruitment process for all applicants.
The ongoing recruitment covers four major paramilitary agencies under the board’s jurisdiction: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Applicants who had earlier begun the application process have been urged to revisit the portal and complete their submissions. The board has directed all candidates to log in through the official portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, beginning Monday, July 21, 2025.
Addressing concerns raised by some candidates regarding missing or unlisted local government areas, the CDCFIB assured that it is taking immediate steps to resolve the issue and make necessary updates to the system.
The board also acknowledged and commended the high level of interest expressed by young Nigerians eager to serve their country through the paramilitary services, reaffirming its commitment to a fair and merit-based recruitment process.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to complete their applications promptly and stay updated by checking the recruitment portal regularly.
